What is ecotherapy?

Ecotherapy is new to many people! Don’t be shy about wondering or asking questions. A session, trip, or retreat will start by us getting to know one another. From there we will begin our journey connecting with each other, nature, and ourselves. We can do this in many ways, here are some of my favorite examples:

Nature Bonding

We will use diverse rituals and techniques to connect with the natural setting we are in. We will ground ourselves and interact with the soil, the wind, the sun, and the plants. We will come to a higher state of awareness of the plants, animals and elements around us. This is a grounding technique that aligns us.

Meditation

I will offer a guided meditation tailored to the energy of our surroundings and your desired intention for our time together. We can hold space in a number of different ways that can bring our energy up or down depending on what is feeling right at the time. I’m happy to incorporate any spiritual blessings you desire, along with chakra work, forgiveness, or quiet breath work for tranquility.

Somatic Movement

We will use natural movement to express ourselves, release pent up energies, and receive warm, energizing, positive energy from the land around us. We can do this with music, song, natural rhythms or beats. This can flow in many ways from dance, stretching, yoga, posing or anything else we feel called to partake in.
